Here’s what you need to know
before you apply.
Who should apply?
Engineers, designers, researchers, founders, and people who like making things. You can apply solo or with a team. Show us what you care about and something you’ve worked on.
What does it cost?
Zero. The residency is free to join. There is no application fee or program fee.
Do I need a company? Do you take equity?
No entity is required, and we take no equity. Your work and your company stay yours.
When and where is it?
5 November 2026 to 5 February 2027 at the Ixora residence in Al Barari, Dubai. Three months of living and building together.
Will there be mentors and investors?
Yes. There will be mentor sessions during the residency and an investor demo day at the end of the hacker house. You’ll have the opportunity to share your work, meet investors, and discuss funding.
Can I join for part of the residency?
Yes. Tell us your dates in the application. You can apply as a resident, visit as a builder, host a session, or join as a community partner.
What happens after I apply?
The team reviews your work and what you want to build. Shortlisted applicants are invited to a conversation so we can get to know each other and talk through the stay.
Can I apply without a finished product?
Absolutely. A prototype, a research question, a GitHub repo, or a small project you made for yourself all count. We’re interested in how you think and what you do.
